The AMC Pacer
Introduced for 1975 as 'America's Widest Small Car', the car buying public was thrilled with this unique newcomer. AMC sold every Pacer they built that first year. Unfortunately the fame was short lived and production declined each year after until 1980 when the Pacer bid a fond farewell. Today, the Pacer is well known and unmistakable, even for the younger generation thanks in part to the movie Wayne's World. The Pacer, like many AMC products, is a big bang for your buck today, with lots of hobby support and good parts availability. Many AMC models are being evaluated for collectible status and values are increasing faster than the interest in your savings account.
