The Studebaker Hawk
The Studebaker company out of South Bend Indiana was known for its sedate but sturdy styling. It's low slung, sleek and eye catching styling caught the eye of many, including the automotive press which loved it. The Hawk name was branded to these coupes by the mid fifties and it continued successfully into production with some changes through the 1964 model year. Today, Studebaker is best known for the Hawk and later, the much applauded Avanti. Supercharged versions of these cars are rising in value as the buying public sees the value and contribution they made to the car industry.

1964 Ford Ranchero
$24,900. Sold new in southern California and resided there until just two years ago! FACTORY V8 FOUR SPEED CAR!
Absolutely rust free, original sheet metal all around. No prior body work. Originally Cascade Green, it was recently repainted a 1966 Ford color called Tahoe Turquoise. Nicely done a 7.5 - 8 out of 10. Again, applied to a clean, original straight body. Nice time and chrome too.
Interior restored to close to original. Seat coverings, door panels and headliner. Factory floor mounted floor shifter, auxiliary gauges and a cool, retro dash mounted tach. The original radio and antenna are missing. A very clean presentation overall.
Lots and lots of upgrades. The original 260 V8 was rebuilt and built up to 292 ci. Front disc brakes were installed. Suspension reworked. A four barrel Holly carb and a new fuel tank. Undercarriage cleaned and detailed. No undercoat ever.
Runs fantastic. Perfect for a daily commute in nice weather. No leaks or issues. Very turn key. Hard to find in so many ways.

1987 Renault Alliance GTA Convertible
$3,500
The Alliance was a short lived hero. An unsung hero to AMC. In desperate financial troubles in the late 1970's and with a government more interested in helping out the more powerful Chrysler Corporation with their new leader, Lee Iacocca, AMC was left to fend for themselves. Along came Renault from France with a boat load of cash and the desire to sell their products in the US with the help of AMC's vast dealer network. The R9 platform was decided upon (Already being sold in Europe.) and it would be built at AMC's Kenosha plant in Wisconsin. A plant previously known for Hornets, Pacers and Concords. This was to be an all new car to appeal to an all new American taste.
Initially it did well. Garnishing several awards, even the esteemed Car Of The Year from Motor Trend. It didn't take long for the fall from grace as build quality and reliability issues began to plaque the model. A convertible and hatchback was added in 1985 but it was too little too late. Then, oddly, AMC introduced the GTA model like we have here. It was to be the final year of production for the Alliance and like with so many car, once they got it right (sort of), they killed it. They meaning Chrysler as it was that year that Chrysler bought AMC, mostly to just obtain the Jeep brand. They couldn't wait to ditch the other cars still in production such as this GTA
Just 1,029 GTA convertibles were produced, total and around 5500 coupes. You rarely see any these days as they became sort of synonymous with nothing good. The resale values tumbled and so did the cars themselves.
Here we have a trur survivor with just 85,273 miles. A five speed manual transmission (The only trans available on the GTA.), stiffer suspension, larger brakes with 15" alloy wheels and a larger, 2.0 liter engine putting out about 95 whopping horsepower. This car was one of the lucky ones. It was saved by a HUGE AMC / Renault fan and was heavily maintained with lots of new components. Suspension, brakes, tires, a convertible top (manual operating), clutch and a multitude of other things that escape my mind at the moment. It's a very cool, turn key car that you can have a blast with right away for not a lot of money. It's got it's cosmetic issues for sure. A ding and a dent here and there. Scratches, delaminating, ect, ect... but from about 25 feel away it looks like a million bucks and there is little to no rust on the car anywhere. Has optional cruise control, driving lights, A/C and a Jensen stereo. All of which does not work. Typical. Also the two front windows are manual, like very manual. You need to raise and lower the glass by hand. You'll be hard pressed to find any working regulators anywhere for one of these. Ask me how I know.
So there you have it. An Orphan Car Garage exclusive. If you are a big fan of these cars and always wanted to own one, reach out. I kept this car around for almost two years before advertising it. Something about it draws me in. Plus, who doesn't love an underdog?

1953 Buick Special Riviera Hardtop
$19,900. An amazing survivor with the same family owners until 2016! The grandmothers car, purchased new at Bergen Motors in NJ. She drove it for her daily errands but rarely in foul weather and always garaged. Stored away by the family in the early 1970's where it sat dry and protected until around 2011 when the family removed it and brought life into her again. Spending well over $10K (We have the receipts.) in mechanical and brake work, ect to make the car drivable again. Used sparingly ever since. An oil change sticker on the door from 1964 reads 39,634 miles. Another from 1971 reads 55,038 miles. The car currently has just 64,671 miles!
Still wearing most, if not all it's ORIGINAL PAINT. The color I believe was called Glacier Blue. The top is painted white and is also original, factory installed paint from 1953. All the chrome, trim and lenses also original. Of course with age comes patina. You'll see in the photos the original character patina the car sports today. I love and original paint car, even with flaws. I'd take that any day over a repaint. Honestly, we haven't done it but can complete a classic car paint correction which would bring even more of a shine back to the original lacquer. Externally, the car shows as an amazing survivor.
The interior was redone but properly with correct or close to correct materials supplied by SMS Auto Fabrics. I have lots of old documentation and photos of the car and the original upholstery is shown in one of the pictures. The drivers seat bottom was worn. Probably the reason for the refresh. It looks absolutely fantastic.
Under the hood is the last year, Buick straight eight. A tried and true engine with roots back to the 1930's. Shifting is provided via a column mounted three speed manual transmission. Yes, the clutch was replaced in 2011-2012. It shifts beautifully.
Such a beautiful body style. The 'Riviera' name refers to the unique hardtop, pillarless styling. It gives the car such a gorgeous presence. Brand new tires and rear shocks installed just last month! This car is ready to roll to the next show or cruise-in. Or maybe just to the ice cream parlor. What a slice of Americana.

2019 Ford F-150 Super Snake By Shelby
If you know then you know. Here is a 1 of 250 produced, super truck by Shelby.
A serious performance truck. The Shelby Super Snake is an F-150 that was heavily modified by Shelby after leaving the Ford plant. Pumping a whopping 755 horsepower from the Whipple supercharged Coyote V8. Insane for a truck, right? The Shelby upgrades don't end there. A Borla performance exhaust, lowered with 22" wheels. Brakes and suspension upgrades as well. A unique interior with carbon fiber trim and embroidered leather seats. They certainly didn't skimp.
Here we have a particularly rare one finished in an uncommon Oxford White which oozes metallic and a pearlescent look. Black factory stripes round it off. A locking, hard tonneau cover and carpeted cargo bay complete the build.
Just 16,650 miles! A clean, accident free CarFax and a pampered Ford service history. This truck is absolutely perfect. Like buying one brand new! A show piece for sure.
You only live once and you can't take it with you! Check out the full gallery of photos in the link below. I also have a running walk around video of the truck I can forward to those interested.

1972 Chevy Impala Custom Convertible
$28,900. WOW! Here's a special one. Professionally restored and customized to a very high standard by an ASE certified mechanic and a high end body and trim shop for body, interior, top and paint.
Finished in a STUNNING metallic BLACK CHERRY burgundy, you'd swear it was straight up black until the sun shines. Paint so deep it looks like you could dive into it. The body restoration included installing a set of brand new quarter panels and steel lower front fender sections. There was no body filler used on this car anywhere to hide or cover any sins. The body is absolutely laser straight. The interior was reupholstered in keeping with it's 1972 heritage and looks great in it's off white gleam. The carpet and black power soft top was also replaced. The door panels are original.
Under the hood is where things get serious. Here is what was done....
- A Blueprint Stroker 383 V8 putting out 390 horsepower and 410 ft torque.
- Turbo 350 transmission with a 2300 stall converter.
- Quick Performance Ford 9" rear end with Eaton 411 Posi gears.
- HEI Distributor
- FiTech Classic Fuel Injection
- Complete front suspension rebuild.
- Brand new brakes all around including hoses and formed lines front to back. Fronts are disc. Rears are drum.
- Complete SKAR Audio system with glovebox mounted head unit with Bluetooth and an unbelievable trunk mounted sub woofer. I have a video demonstration of the system in operation.
Most of this work was performed just before and or around 2019-2020 with little to no miles accumulated since. The motor isn't even broken in yet. Used once this year for his daughters senior prom then back into the garage. He did this car as a labor of love. A car he planned on keeping forever and did it the way it should be and to last. After all, it was for himself. Plans have changed and he's decided to sell. You can't come even close to building this car for the asking. I say it all the time, buy one done. Something not your taste? Still inexpensive enough to change and put your signature on. The hard part is done! Only known issue is that the top will sometimes blow a fuse after raising or lowering but top works beautifully.
Check out the gallery of photos in the link below and ask for the walk around videos I have that I can forward anyone seriously interested. I can arrange enclosed door to door transport as well.

1969 AMC Rebel Sedan
$8,900!! With just 39,228 ORIGINAL MILES! This mid size sedan from good ol AMC was purchased new by Marjorie Valentine at E.P. Fournier Co. in Pawtucket RI and remained in her and her families possession until just a year or so ago! Incredibly well preserved. Original paint, interior and powertrain! A true survivor! It's so dorky it's cool. I just love this one. You can't help but smile when you see and drive it. There is nothing like and original, unrestored car. Nothing. It's literally like stepping back in time.
Equipped with the optional 290 V8, power steering and power brakes too. Original AM pushbutton radio and an oh so cool, period correct 8-track player. Doesn't get much better.
This car starts, runs and drives amazingly well. Like you are purchasing it used in 1970. A true time capsule. The engine was recently treated to a rebuilt carburator, tires and all four shocks. A real turn key classic!
The body is completely RUST FREE. Look at the undercarriage pictures. You could literally eat off the frame and floors. This car was very obviously never driven in the typical foul New England weather. Just amazing really.
The interior is completely original down to the carpet. The seat has some seam separation at the brocade inserts and unfortunately the most recent owner used household glue to hold an aftermarket seat cover in place. We carefully removed the cover and cleaned the seat as much as possible but it will obviously need a new aftermarket cover or even better, obtain the original materials from SMS Fabrics in Oregon. We'd do it but we don't have the time. Too many projects around the shop. We've priced this one very aggressively to compensate for this one and only downfall. This car is an amazing bargain.
Dare to be different! When was the last time you saw one? Maybe a rerun of an early Adam 12?
Check out the gallery of pictures in the link below and watch for a full YouTube walk around video coming in a day or two.

1969 Chevy Corvair 500 Sport Coupe
$18,900. JUST 6,626 MILES!!! Number 4543 of the 6000 Corvairs built for the final, 1969 model year and yes, this is one of the 'Corvair Room' built cars! Just before half way through the 1969 model production, the Corvair was unceremoniously removed from the regular assembly line where it was being built in conjunction with the Nova and moved to a make shift afterthought assembly area in an old converted cafeteria at the famous Willow Run assembly plant. A dedicated group of workers were assigned to the room to finish the production of the final Corvair models. This is one of those cars.
A true survivor, this car is wearing all it's original Garnet Red paint. It's original and almost perfect black bench seat interior and 95 HP 164 cubic inch engine. Just a few options mentioned on the window sticker (which we have!) and that was the Powerglide automatic transmission, white wall tires and push button radio. The car is also equipped with a correct accessory clock so we can only assume that was added at the selling dealer.
Mancuso Chevrolet of Skokie Illinois ordered and sold this car new to a Mr. Clearance Mohr. Mr Mohr apparently read about the Corvair production coming to a cease and actually put a deposit down on this car on THE VERY DAY Corvair production stopped, May 14th, 1969. Yes, we have the deposit receipt! Very ironic, no? Well, it appears Clearance was expecting a big pay day in the future and just lightly drove his new Corvair over the next couple years, only accumulating 4,655 miles by 1971. That's when he put his future investment into storage at his Evanston Illinois home. Mr Mohr passed away in 1993 and his wife shortly after. Their only child, Eugene inherited the home and it's contents and kept everything as is for the remainder of his life which ended in 2012. That's when this car was sold for the first time since 1969. A local Chevy dealer took part in the cars resurrection and soon, the Garnet Red 500 was back on the road! Making it's way to Carlisle PA where it as sold in a collector car auction. A couple of Corvair enthusiast owners since (including myself who owned this car from 2015 to 2017) and now it's current caretaker who has decided to pass it on to it's next caretaker. We are assisting him with that process.
The car is incredibly documented. Window sticker, original invoice, deposit receipt, it's first oil change receipt from Mancuso from 8/69, the Protect-O-Plate and folder and even the $150 coupon from GM given to all 1969 Corvair owners as a 'thank you' and a discount towards any new Chevy up through the 1973 model year. I guess they knew the resale would be less than favorable in the early 70's and I suppose they were right.
Fully serviced and ready to go to it's next deserving home. Recent work includes replacing the original push rod tube seals which were/are so notorious to leak. A tune up and tires with very few miles too.
Rarely do you come across one like this with all it's documentation! One just like it just sold on Bring A Trailer for $24K and that one was the blue so commonly seen and was a three speed stick. Sure it may have been a bit cosmetically better as this car has a few scars from storage (see pics) but to me, this one looks way better with it's color combination. Be sure to check out ALL the pictures in the picture link below. It includes a full history on the car that I didn't detail above. This car is the real deal, folks!
2002 Lexus SC430 Hardtop Convertible
$11,900. Gorgeous Indigo Ink Blue with the highly desirable and sought after 'Peanut Butter' leather interior. Just a STUNNING combination.
Equipped with the bullet proof, Lexus 4.3 V8 that's smooth as silk. That's mated to a five speed automatic transmission. This car has accumulated just 103,357 miles. These engines are famous for 300K plus trouble free miles!
Sold new at Lexus Of North Miami. The car remained in Florida it's entire life until January of 2025! This car has never seen winter. Recently serviced with a fresh oil change and safety inspection.
The car was fully repainted at some point in it's life. We had the paid professionally deep cut and buffed and it looks amazing. The wheels are all original, free of scratches or rash or even delamination. Tires are like brand new.
The power hardtop works beautifully as does the auto climate control and factory navigation. Rare to find all three fully operational! The tire pressure monitor indicator does stay illuminated even with all tires at full pressure and traction control light intermittently stays on. These are all very common for these cars at close to 25 years old. I'm being fully transparent. Most sellers are not. Buy another one and find out.
Beautiful car. A future collectors item. A true classic with a very large following.
